"You’re growing up, and the rain sort of remains on the branches of the tree that someday rule the earth. And it’s good that there is rain. It clears the month of your sorrow rainbow expressions. It clears the streets of the silent armies. So we can dance"
- a line from a poem by Jim Caroll, (also part of the song Umbrellas and elephants by cinematic sunrise)
As we are growing up, we become expose to a wider scope of the world. And I guess this tells us to become strong like a tree. Our outer self and actions can be represented by the leaves. Like anything that inhabits earth, we are exposed to different forces just like the rain or storm. They are just like punishments, drops of rain can be absorbed by our leaves- but sometimes those drops just stays on us.
The rain is gloomy, cold and dark. And unfortunately, we cannot see rainbows during the rain. It is for us to become hopeful, no matter situation it might be. Because after the rain, a rainbow will welcome our eyes.
So yeah, the rain remains on the branches — there are after-effects of letting yourself get pounded by the world — But so what?
That’s the price you pay for being in the world.
Just dance in the rain- LET IT RAIN.
Don’t forget what keeps you safe and dry.
Because later on, a RAINBOW will appear and brighten your day:D
